Basic FAQ's

This list can also be found in a similar position on the main page of the ‘Members Area’ of the site once you are logged in. 

1. When will the new Members' Area be live?

The Members’ Area will be available to members on 17 September, this will be once it has undergone testing by the Club

2. What is the new Members' Area?
· It is a secure members' area and you’re membership number will identify you on our membership system
· You can then book a Tee Time – Please refer to the website FAQ section for all details of how to book. Note all the normal rules of Tee Time booking will apply.
· You can enable other golfers to see your name in a list as a playing partner or ‘buddy’
· You can enable your details for e-mail communication from the Club only
· You can view a Members’ Contact Directory e.g. telephone numbers and email addresses
· You can enquire on your accounts and view ‘chits’
· In the near future, there will be further enhancements to the functionality of the Members’ Area to provide other information and booking tools in line with system developments and member research

3. When will booking for Tennis & Health, House & Spa Members be available?
Further to the success of these facilities online, we look to develop Booking online for other key areas of the Club – Tennis & Health, the Spa and the Grill, amongst other added value services online such as payment for Club Events. These are all developments that we will advise you on as soon as we have learned from this first online step for Members.

4. Is the Members’ Area available to all Members?
· Yes, it is available to anyone with valid membership details.
· We aim to give all members' benefits of visiting the area and at ‘live date’ this September all members will be able to use all the services listed in (2) above, however as per the rules of the Club, only those categories with access to booking the three championship courses can do so online.

5. How do I get into the Members’ Area?
If you are using a Mac rather than a PC they will need to use the Firefox browser.
Go to www.wentworthclub.com
· At top right hand side you will see the link: Members’ Login
positioned under the Site Search box at the top
· Clicking the Members’ Login will take you to the Secure Login page
· To enter the Members’ Area for the first time: Clicking the Members’ Login will take you to the secure Login page.
· Normally you will simply enter you’re Membership Number and chosen Password here, however as you are a first time user you will need to complete the following procedure once only. Please click:
'Need to create an account?
Click here to be taken to the Registration page'

· Please complete all details then select Register
· Note: for your Membership Number. This is shown as the first 6 digits on your Membership Card (this also applies to bearer card holders - please do not use charge card number)
· To then enter the Members’ Area: select Back to Login Page to log in
· Enter Membership number and chosen password and then select Enter. The Members’ Area home page will be displayed

I am a Card Bearer member but am having trouble registering
Please ensure that you are entering the card bearer membership number which is the first 6 digits of the number printed on the Card Bearer membership card. Also the Surname field must be exactly the same as the Company name held on our internal system this can be checked by referring to the name on a recent renewal notice or statement. You can also register every Card holder, using the same Company name plus their individual number on the card. Once these two pieces of information match our records then you will be able to register. If you have further difficulties please contact the Membership Department on 01344 846310/ 01344 846316

6. Who do I call if I have any questions on the Members’ Area?
Please call Reception on 01344 842201 if you have problems and they will direct your query.

7. Will the online booking be quicker than booking over the phone?
Use of the online booking service will avoid the busy phone lines at the Club during peak booking times (usually 0700 – 1200 weekdays)
· Connection via your PC to our Tee Time Booking Database will be done in real-time, however the connection speed of your PC will be a factor in the time taken to complete the booking
· Once you access a Tee Time online, it will be held for up to 5 minutes for you to complete your booking
· Online bookings can be a more convenient way to book

NB: Please note that for maximum performance it is recommended that Internet Explorer 7 or Firefox 2 is used.
