Tee Time Booking FAQ's
14. How do I book a tee time online?
· Go to www.wentworthclub.com
· Enter the Members’ Area
· Click on ‘Tee Time Booking’
· You will enter the live Tee Time booking system
· Step1: Select a Date from the Calendar. Please note, the box around todays date will note move, however, the date you selected shows in writing just below the calendar. In future we will modify this page to make it clearer.
· Step 2: Select a Course from the drop-down menu NB. The Edinburgh Course is known as the South Course on the booking system
· Step 3: Click Select Tee Sheet
· You will then see at Tee Sheet with headings ‘Golfer 1’ ‘Golfer 2’ ‘Golfer’ 3 ‘Golfer 4’
and times
· Step 4: Click on the Time that you would like that is marked Bookable
· You are now in the booking for up to 5 minutes
· You are automatically part of this booking, so then you need to add in additional golfers
· In a new page: Step1: Select Type: Member, Guest or Buddies.
· Selecting Member will list all members who have flagged that they wish their details to appear on the Golf Reservations list
· Pick golfers from this list click ‘Add Golfer’ If your fellow members are not listed this is because they haven’t yet signed into the Members’ Area and you will need to use ‘TBA1, TBA2 and TBA3’ for each golfer
Please note that a benefit of being a Golfer shown in the list means that each golfer will automatically receive an email if booked in for a Tee Time
· There is a ‘My Buddies’ list’ within the Tee time booking system. This is to help you quickly select your regular playing partners to make the Tee Time reservation. It is similar to ‘favourites’ on websites
· Selecting Buddies will list Members that you have added to My Buddies and Selecting guests will display a firstname and surname field to be completed.
· Step 2: This allows you to ‘Edit Golfers Details’
· Step 3: Then Make Reservation.
· In a new page a successful booking will display a Booking Confirmation (this is also emailed to you)
· If there is a problem, you will see a failure to book message because a golf booking rule has prevented the booking either due to member status, booking too far in advance or wrong membership type
15. What if I don’t know the names of my playing partners?
· Please add them as TBA1, TBA2, TBA3
· You must not book a 1-Ball
16. What if my playing partners aren’t shown on the system?
· Your fellow members will need to Login to the Members’ Area themselves in order for their names to be shown on the Golf Reservations golfers list.
See (9) for how to add yourself to the golfers list
· They can then be added to your ‘Buddies’ list
So please encourage your fellow golfers to Login to the Members’ Area so you can book tee times with them!
17. Can a Tee Time be double-booked ?
· No a tee time cannot be double booked, since the first user to access a specific Tee Time will hold that tee time from any other user for a period of 5 minutes
18. Can I book tee times on the day online?
Yes, you can book online from 7.00am
19. What happens if I take too long to make the booking?
· If you take more than 5 minutes to make the Tee time booking you will need to re-start the booking process again
20. If I experience problems whilst making a booking?
· We recommend that you re-start the booking
· If you have tried to book a Golfer that is not eligible within the golf rules for the Tee time you have selected then you will see an appropriate message on the screen
· If you are still unable to make a booking then we recommend you contact the Club Reception
21. Who do I call if I have any questions on the Tee Time booking?
· Please call Reception on 01344 842201 if you have problems and would like to continue to make a Tee Time booking
22. Can I do this on my PDA device?
· Yes this can be done using a handheld PDA device, e.g. a blackberry.
