Scholarship

Wentworth Scholarship Program, part of the Club’s Golf & Tennis Foundation, was introduced in 1991 to give local youngsters with potential in golf and tennis the opportunity to develop their skills through the renowned facilities of our Club.

The Scholarship Foundation is financed mainly from member’s contributions, while being run by a separate board of trustees. The main aim of the Scholarship is to guide and coach young people from within the local community who could not otherwise have the chance to access all that membership at Wentworth has to offer.

Golf Scholarship
A Golf Scholarship is an opportunity to be part of one of the best Junior Golf sections in the country. They are available to boys and girls aged 10-19 years, preferably living in the local area and whose parents are not members of Wentworth. Once enrolled in the programme they receive free membership, guidance from professional coaches, tuition and support.

A Golf Scholarship can help a youngster live their dreams and become a professional golfer, or capitalise upon a wonderful, life-enhancing opportunity in a world-class environment. The Club has a super track record in identifying talent at an early age and helping it to mature. Two of its ex-Scholars are Wentworth’s European Tour Pro Ross Fisher, Challenge Tour Pro Sam Osborne and Jason Kelly on the on the Euro-Pro Tour.  There are only ever a limited number of Golf Scholarship spaces at any one time and applications should be forwarded via the contact form
