Tennis
Wentworth is a welcoming environment for those looking to indulge their passion for tennis. There are 13 superb tennis courts featuring a combination of playing surfaces; grass, all weather, acrylic and synthetic grass, six of which are also floodlit. Members can book courts up to two weeks in advance, for two hours at any one time, and arrange block bookings. There are no court fees or charges for floodlights.
Our attentive, highly trained team of teaching staff, led by Head Professional Lisa Johnstone and Deputy Head Professional James Birtwistle, are on hand and ready to teach. Coaching is available all-year round, with a range of tennis programmes for all age groups and from beginners to competitive players. Full racquet services are provided, as is a ‘try before you buy’ option. A ball machine is also available.
This is a friendly Club, but it also has a competitive element. The Club organises a variety of tournaments, competitions and championships. There is a colour-coded rating system based on ability and a ‘ladder’ which allows members to compete against better players. A programme of Social and Team Play helps members meet other players.
